Among the few thousand readers and writers following my occasional author updates, it can be interesting and helpful to discover new books and new authors by sharing what we’re reading and what we recommend. I find reviews, comments, and recommendations are always helpful in matching interested readers to writers and books that they haven’t discovered yet.

It was hard to choose among the thirty or more that I’ve read this year, but the best three are those that I most appreciated for the quality of writing in the same genre of crime fiction that I’m writing. Other writers have made different choices and also compared them to their own books in the same genre.

And an Update on the Dale Hunter Thriller Series

The Dale Hunter Thriller Series was introduced in 2018 with NO EASY MONEY, an explosive mix of crime and corruption in the computer business of the 1980s, and followed by SIMPLY THE BEST, MERGER MANIAC in 2019. Then came the long pause through Covid while I wrote three more Dale Hunter novels and two new editions of my business books. The fourth novel BAD BOYS IN BOSTON was finally published in May of this year with two more in the series coming soon, CRASH LANDING, and WHATEVER IT TAKES.

I’ll be revising the pricing and terms for booksellers on all of the novels for the Holiday buying season and moving the E-book editions to Kindle Unlimited. I hope you’ll still find me and my books in a library, bookstore or online somewhere.
