Too many choices. What to work on next?
Any suggestions?
The abundance of appealing choices for my next writing project is giving me paralysis from analysis or some form of writers block – essentially an excuse to procrastinate. I’m not making any progress while trying to decide what to work on next.
Should I focus on the next Dale Hunter Thriller Novel #7 or The Kid from
California – Short Stories Volume 2? Or the next book of advice for entrepreneurs from Uncle Ralph? Or maybe another novel in progress, Just a Farm Boy from Saskatchewan, or the next collection of short stories, Snapshots from Home.
All of these choices are giving me good excuses to procrastinate and call it writer’s block. I’m meandering from on to the other and pushing them forward slowly without the dedication and focus required to push through to at least a complete first draft. But which one should I choose to do next?
It’s probably better to ask readers who care, “What do you want to see next?”
Or maybe ask the expert publishers and agents, “What’s going to be the next bestseller for me?”
Do you have any suggestions for me?
